Jack lebt im mittelalterlichen Japan. Das Reich seines Vaters wird von dem puren Bösen Aku zerstört, als Jack noch ein Kind ist. Sein Vater wird bei diesem Angriff von Aku gefangen genommen. Deshalb gehört Jack nun das Land seines Vaters und er wäre eigentlich Kaiser, doch seine Mutter schickt Jack zu verschiedenen Meistern, bei denen er zum Samurai ausgebildet wird, um die Herrschaft Akus zu beenden und sein Volk zu befreien. Sie gibt ihm das magische Schwert, mit dem nur Gutes getan werden kann. Als Jacks Ausbildung beendet ist, ist er ein Mann und er geht zu Aku, um mit ihm zu kämpfen. Jack hätte gewonnen, wenn Aku nicht, bevor der letzte Schlag getan war, ein Zeitportal geöffnet und Jack in eine Zukunft geschickt hätte, in der Aku der unangefochtene Herrscher der Welt ist. Während er durch die ganze Welt reist, die inzwischen so technisiert ist, dass Jack zunächst Probleme hat, sich zurechtzufinden, sucht er ein Zeitportal, um in seine Zeit zurückzukehren und Aku zu besiegen. Dabei erlebt er viele Abenteuer, bei denen er sich mit den Schergen Akus herumschlagen muss aber auch viele Freunde findet. (Quelle: thetvdb.com)

So he follows them, mastering the captors' weapon, using qualities of the animals he has observed to do so. After a difficult series of fights, Jack releases all the prisoners and with their help, the enemy tribe is defeated. Jack requires him to first fight with sticks and Jack is clearly the superior warrior. Their fight is interrupted by the arrival of many more of Aku's hunters. Da Samurai is captured and Jack defeats the 100+ robots...but they assemble into one gigantic multi-headed robot. Da Samurai saves Jack by taking an energy blast, giving Jack time to defeat the robot and acknowledge Da Samurai has taken the first step on the path of a true warrior. Jack knows of the ninja's technique and reveals that he is trained to blend with the light just as Shinobi can blend with the dark.
