Bartholomew Cubbins has SO MANY HATS. Every time he removes one in the presence of the King, it is replaced magically with another. This enrages the King, who brings him to trial, and to the ultimate sentence.
12	Daisy-Head Mayzie	1995-02-05
The Cat in the Hat narrates a story about a girl named Mayzie McGrew, who mysteriously has a daisy growing from her head! This happens during the school hours, so she's ridiculed by her friends, and speculated by her teacher, principal, parents, and any other adults confirmed of Mayzie's problem. The situation reaches its high point when Finagle steps in and offers Mayzie a place in stardom, based from the daisy in her head. Mayzie herself, for reasons unknown, takes the offer, not long before she finds out the hard way how fame & fortune can bring unhappiness. It's some time after her daisy disappears that Mayzie realizes that the love of her family & friends is what really matters. From that point on, things are back to normal -- except for a few of Mayzie's daisies sprouting up, every now & then.

The Butter Battle Book tells the story of a land where two hostile cultures, the Yooks and the Zooks, live on opposite sides of a long curving wall. The Yooks wear blue clothes; the Zooks wear orange. The main dispute between the two cultures is that the Yooks, who live on one side of the wall, eat their bread with the butter-side up, while the Zooks, who live on the other side, eat their bread with the butter-side down. The conflict between the two sides leads to an arms race, each competing to make bigger and better weapons to outdo the other, which results in the threat of mutual assured destruction.

The Cat in the Hat is all set for a lovely picnic, but the evil Grinch changes his plans by inventing a contraption that captures noise and makes it sound ferrocious. The Cat has to save the world from the clutches of the Grinch and the only way to do it is to reach Grinch's soft spot.

As his business booms, the forest and its inhabitants suffer as he wantonly clear-cuts the trees, without regard to the warnings of a wise old creature, called the Lorax, about the dire consequences of his greed.

They resolve to take action for his own good and Horton and The Who must struggle against these impossible odds to prevent a tragedy.

A grumpy hermit hatches a plan to steal Christmas from the Whos down in Whoville. The Grinch lives in a dank cave above Whoville - each Christmas season he cringes as he hears the Whos prepare their whobeast for their whofeast. He can't stand hearing them bustle around buying presents, planning parties and singing their Who carols. One year he decides to take the matter in his own hands and attempts to steal Christmas from the Whos. Maisie the bird is tired of sitting on her egg day after day waiting for it to hatch. She would rather be off playing so she looks for a replacement. She sees Horton the elephant walking by and talks him into taking her spot. Maisie goes off to Palm Beach and has such a good time she decides not to go back. Horton sits through the winter on the egg waiting for Maisie to return.
